The vast majority of dual-band FM VHF amateur radio stations have an output connector for the 144 and 430 MHz bands. This is very convenient when using dual-band vertical antennas, but this becomes a real problem if you need to connect individual antennas for each band.
In contrast, modern multi-band CW / SSB HF / VHF transceivers usually have separate connectors for the 144 and 430 MHz bands, and problems arise when connecting dual-band antennas with a single power cable.
All these problems are solved by using Comet CF-416B HF-VHF / UHF duplexers, devices that filter the signals of the desired range and direct them to the output corresponding to the desired range. Duplexers can work in reverse mode by combining signals from different antennas. In addition, you can use a duplexer, such as HPF or LPF, to filter possible interference from the TV or vice versa, to protect the receiver input from being overloaded with strong signals from another range.
